Vanessa Cannon grew up in Mossman and gained an interest in art through watching her grandmothers and aunties as a child. She is an arts worker at Yalanji Arts and is responsible for looking after the art studio and the artists. She has been exhibiting her works in group exhibitions since 2012 and her textiles have been featured in various fashion shows and performances.

Yalanji Arts is a 100% Aboriginal owned art centre located in the Mossman Gorge Aboriginal community. The centre specialises in screen printed textiles, handcrafted ceramics and prints on paper, with all works celebrating the culture and deep respect, knowledge and connection to the richly diverse rainforest and ocean environments of Kuku Yalanji Country.

Gentle wash only in cool water. Do not soak, bleach, rub, wring or tumble dry. Line dry in shade. Warm iron on reverse. Do not dry clean.
