Artist statement: "Thuwathu Story Place is located at the south east corner of the south eastern clay pan on Bentinck Island. Not far from the Base Camp, Nyinyilki. It is the site where Thuwathu, the Rainbow Serpent, entered the ground after having created the sand hills which stretch all the way down the eastern coast of Bentinck."
