Artist statement: "My Sister Netta's birthplace is at Bilmee, Oaktree Point, Bentinck Island. She was the second child of King Alfred and we grew up with our other sisters Ethel, Amy and brother Peter. Our family left our Traditional Lands with missionaries to come live on Mornington Island. Netta being one of the eldest had to take care of us younger ones as we were separated from family. My Sister Netta never forgot her birth place - it's all she ever painted."
