About the Artist

This picture shows a male Red Tailed Black Cockatoo watching a female resting in a Weeping Melaleuca tree beside the Walsh River in north Queensland. I never tire of painting these birds, as they have such character and the bright red windows in the tail always look spectacular.

William Cooper began his career as a landscape and seascape artist and then he turned his talents to his first love, birds. Bill has illustrated numerous books and his work is purchased by institutions and collectors from around the world.

Fine art digital reproductions printed at high resolution from a specialist ink jet printer. Giclée prints are archival quality, printed on artists canvas. The permanent pigment archival inks are fade-resistant.

Eventually all inks may fade, however laboratory tests have shown that Giclée Prints are more resistant to fading and can last in excess of 75 years if hung away from direct sunlight and unfiltered fluorescent lights.
