About the artist

Nicole is a Mackay-based artist. She is an arts advocate and practicing artist, with 15 years managing art galleries, public arts projects and mentoring artists. Nicole enjoys supporting regional artists, while growing her own arts practice. 

Nicole's earrings are inspired by the beach, ocean and her travels through natural places. Earrings are created using copper, glass enamel powders and heat-coloured brass. Each pair is lovingly handmade by the artist; the metal is cut, shaped and refined, then the enamel is applied and adhered by flame. The pieces are then joined and embellishments added using sterling silver findings.
