About the artist
Christopher Harris was one of the original Yarrabah Pottery apprentices in 1973. He started by learning to mix and recycle clay, then moved to throwing & finally to production line work, making a range of functional ware. He uses pottery to record the legends associated with the Yarrabah landscape. With over 50 years’ experience creating pottery, Christopher is now considered a ‘Master’ potter, his ceramic works have been showcased around the State & in National Galleries & are a valuable collector’s item.
