Lorraine Hunter is a Yawuru woman and spent her childhood travelling between Derby and Broome. Her influences are native and other Broome plants as well the abundant coastal life on offer in Yawuru saltwater county.

Yawuru Jarndu Aboriginal Corporation, trading as Nagula Jarndu (Saltwater Woman), is a not-for-profit women’s art centre based in Broome, Western Australia. The organisation’s main function is to support Aboriginal women in the development and maintenance of oral language, history, and cultural traditions, as well as addressing concerns underlying health, and social and emotional well-being.

Purchase of fabric directly supports the artist.

Care instructions:

Gentle cold hand wash with a mild water based soap/detergent (Alcohol based detergent and bleach will damage the print).
Do not use fabric softener.

Rinse well with cold water.
Do not tumble dry.
After washing, lay flat on clean towels, on a drying rack or hang to drip dry out of direct sunlight. Cool iron on reverse by using protective cloth.
