Artist statement

'With the growing concern of being prepared for climate change and how we will respond to it, I feel certain that it is vitally important that we all actively participate together to combat this threat to the planet and our future. After all we are all living on the same planet, under the same sun'.

About the artist

Amanda Emmett is a Cairns-based artist who predominantly works in the media of painting and photography. 
Amanda Emmett encourages us to consider positive actions we can take that will lead to remedy and renewal of our world before it is all too late.
Emmett’s beautifully detailed paintings focus on life forms that are barely surviving the threats that human increasingly pose to them.

Purchase of original art directly supports the artist. Artwork is a unique, one-off piece created by hand and may contain marks or blemishes from the studio. Every effort is made to provide a photo that represents the true colour product, however due to variations between screen, colour can appear differently on screen to the final product.
