This design by Bede Tungutalum represents Pukumani poles that play an important role in Tiwi burial rites.
Tiwi Designs, established in 1969, is one of the oldest Aboriginal art centres in Australia. They are located in Wurrumiyanga (formerly Nguiu), Bathurst Island Tiwi Islands.

Gentle cold hand wash with a mild water based soap/detergent (Alcohol based detergent and bleach will damage the print).
Do not use fabric softener.
Do not bleach.
Rinse well with cold water.
Do not tumble dry.
After washing, lay flat on clean towels, on a drying rack or hang to drip dry out of direct sunlight. Cool iron on reverse by using protective cloth.
The lustre of silk can diminish with moisture, so best to dry clean.
Due to the nature of the medium, exact colour matches cannot be guaranteed.
